In my town last night a local man aged 27, was resisting arrest after causing a disturbance and later died in hospital.

I didn't know the guy(surprisingly in hicksville) but after reading article the guy was heavily into bodybuilding.

Just a surmise by me but using anabolic steroids over long periods weaken the heart or do they? Can people justify saying the police were too forceful, after all they cannot know everybody's health conditions before making an arrest.

I do not know the facts or even if the guy was taking steroids, i feel for his family and kids but i don't think the police are to blame on this occasion, surely he had some sort of medical condition causing his death.

I don't know thoughts guys?

From what I've heard and seen, steroids are a bit mental.

I'd probably even say if the chap had been using steroids, then that's probably what made him feel like resisting arrests.

I've known people in the past who have taken a weeks worth of steroid tablets on a night out, just to make them feel like superman.

Could be that he had a weak heart or underlying health issue he didn't know about.

We may still find out.

On another note. I used to play Sunday league with lad as a kid. His brother came to watch loads of our matches and was a couple of years older. Not long ago I read in the paper that he was a fireman and was driving the fire engine responding to a call when he went thru a set of red lights and t-boned a car. Killed the driver and two passengers. The lad was devastated. He had to go thru court appearances etc which were on the news.

The victims family wanted him locked up for life. He was responding to a fire at a school when the accident happened I think.
