Man City's insane Striker total.

Thing on Sky said that Man City's strikers cost £137.5m. It's just insane.

Dzecko, Tevez, Adebayor, Balotelli, Santa Cruz and Jo.

Just insane.

the mental thing there is that at least five of those strikers have publically expressed a desire to leave within this past calendar year

Added to 2 which have now gone.... Robinho 32m and Bellamy 14m

Then start on the midfield...... Silva (24m) Milner (24m), Barry (12m), Toure (28m), De Jong (17m), SWP (10m)..........

To me it feels like they are cheating.

(except keep Jo just to give us all a chance)

It is cheating, really. Through no effort of their own, they've suddenly found themselves with an incredible advantage over all other teams; infinite spending. They didn't earn it, they got lucky. No team should be allowed to spend like that, and this kind of thing shouldn't be allowed to happen. But obviously money trumps everything.

Well that's it. There was no rule at the time (think one's coming in shortly isn't there?) which is why I think they are doing all their crazy spending now, just in time for us to become zillionaire's and not be able to do the same. Maybe I have that wrong? I defo have the fact we'll be zillionaire's any time soon wrong.....

They'll be selling soon to meet fair play for the Champions League (assuming they finish near the top of the table). I've got to think they lose Adebayor and Roque either this month or over the summer.

I ****ing hate city

We have every reason to, but I think it stems mostly from jealousy. If Moyes was handed a blank check over the transfer window, how many world class players would he be signing? And who would we be to complain if we were looking down on the RS from the two spot.

They'll find some way to scam around it, either by spending cash on the ground to raise capacity (and therefore raise the amount of revenue they recieve, which raises the amount they can spend on the team) or by arcane accounting measures, such as perhaps planting a big forest of money trees in Dubai that the players can frolic in during the close season.

In any case, UEFA's (or Platini's) plans are bollocks anyway, they should have brought in a Europe-wide wage cap that was set below what the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, United, the RS and the rest pay. All that will happen after they come in is that teams will find it that much harder to break into the elite group because they wont be able to spend the money on catching up.
