Man City and The Yankees

I'd prefer an MLS team in St. Louis. Regionally, it is between Kansas City and Chicago and there is plenty of football support in that area of the country. It would also be easier for me to drive 3-4 hours to STL rather than my current 8 for Dallas.

Sorry. Some guys on Long Island didn't like the extra 45 minutes (made it up) on the subway to get to New Jersey, so you're out of luck.

Pros:

1) Another MLS club
2) Raises profile of the league
3) Potentially more money for the league (TV revenue, etc...)

Cons:

1) Already have a NY club and they aren't exactly selling out every match
2) NYCFC will become the destination of choice for designated players leaving clubs like Houston, Columbus, San Jose, etc...out in the cold.
3) Parity may be thrown out the window if NYCFC can bring in an unlimited amount of City fringe players/reserves/youth.

I would think $exas would be a attractive option for players. No state income tax, Dallas and Houston are big cities etc. Maybe not attractive for Euros (heat) but Mexicans/South Americans could be inticed. Has Houston even splashed the cash for anyone? Don't you get good attendence there too?

Columbus got Schelotto. Players will come if you can find the money for them.

If NYCFC is able to circumvent the cap with "loans" of reserve City Players then it will make a mockery of salary cap. I can't see them allowing it.

MLS would be wise to stop at 20 clubs (Yes I'm considering Toronto FC a club or at the least a club-like substance). Don't kill the league with expansion (see hockey). Miami and Atlanta are horrible sports towns. The only real viable city left that I think can support a club is St. Louis.

Really, those clubs are out in the cold now and it has nothing to do with NYCFC.
