Chinese money is available, but Bill has decided not to look to China for someone to invest in the club. We could have been getting those millions and we still could but there is no will on the part of Kenwright to look to China.

there is one place in the top 4 secure for for a long time......

It's crazy money but the amount of big business City are turning over since the takeover, they will rival anyone in the world for business power within the next 10 years, i mean they even own their own clubs on different continents!

Are we still likely to lose our top 4 co-efficient? If so, the remaining 2 places will be like gold dust and will see a big change in how the bigger clubs are run.

I think it is highly likeley yeah. unless the english clubs all get through and have an all english semi and final or something close to that.

In a totally bitter way, I would actually enjoy this scenario, though typically, it would be just our luck to finish fourth that season.

i think that is the scary scenario we have to play out from potentially next year. We have to finish above two clubs who;

  • just drop 400 million in sponserships alone and are the richest in the world
  • joint biggest club in the world who can spend whatever they want,
  • russian billions who spend,
  • a club with a brand new stadium and are spending big on world class talent bit by bit
2 of those we have to finish above, two! I'm all for dreaming here but relying on two rich clubs to falter over 38 games, especially when the last one consistently gets into the CL places!

I can only see one option for clubs like us now, win the europa league.

I want a breakaway super league. Plastic clubs can play there and we can get on with proper football.

Yup money talks. Although this 400m isn't going all to man city. They own other clubs as well (although city will get a good amount) . Honestly don't think it changes much regards to city's standing in the prem. They were never going to run out of cash with Abu dahbi anyways

As much as it seems easier, the minute they done that, it would essentially demean every other club who were not part of it. Plus the amount of leagues involved would mean it would be impossible to have a relegation system.

the other thought as well is, do you think we would even attract talent if we were in an inferior league?

I see the sentiment mate but considering how money talks these days, it would kill clubs like us off.
