Wonder if Blue Bill the Fairy Godmother will try to offer them money out of his own pocket like he did with Bury (despite knowing full well that it's against FA rules) and then tell the media all about his noble efforts?

The thing is, when all these issues in the lower leagues are caused by owners rather than simply money then when do you step in? All well and good asking the premier League to help lower League clubs (which generally I support ) but if the ones running the club are at fault then it would be funding them to keep running the clubs into the ground.

I want to see the rich teams help lower teams financially when that's all the issue is. But a dodgy owner wasting their money? There is bigger issues there.

You're absolutely spot on really mate.

I want to be able to maintain our historical clubs, generations of families will lose memories. But look at teams like Oldham, Southend who are doing themselves all sorts of issues financially.

Bury, Wigan and Macclesfield were all subject to the incorrect checks. £700k a year via broadcasting fees. If we give £200m and £25m goes to league two, and thats £1m each, whats to say the dodgy owners won't funnel half out, and they still go under?

Blackpool another example of shitehawk owners.
Lottery wins for the owners.

Very sad. Went to Moss Rose last season for the FA Cup qualifier v Kingstonian. The players were on strike because they hadn’t been paid again so they had to put out a team of youth players & trialists who got beat 4-0. The Macc fans were right behind their lads giving them loads of encouragement and the travelling Kingstonian fans joined in the chants about the Macc owner. Bit of a festival atmosphere but tinged with the grim reality of what was likely to happen eventually.
