For 2, 3, 4(?) years various Councils / Governing Bodies...not just the UK...around the world, have seemingly given protestors Carte Blanche to take over city centres.
So it's not strange that a Council / Governing Body might deem it unsafe for some people to visit their city.
Maybe if all of these Councils / Governing Bodies had taken some form of tighter regulation of these protestors say 2 or 3 years ago
