It stinks like tramps socks and looks like curdled tramp jizz..............enjoy lads

My favourite ever food description was when a boy I worked with was halfway through a mouthful of junior ranks mess hall lasagne and someone told him it looked like afterbirth.

I've only had it once or twice. Was good. But what I don't have in this life of mine is a good recipe for mac'n'cheese. Can you nice fellas hook me up?

You will need

2 blocks of extra mature cheddar
Plain flour (about half a coffee mug)
Milk (about 2 mugs worth, add more or less as required)
Black pepper (cracked)
Macaroni (Marshalls medium sized bag)

Grate all the cheese into a large mixing bowl

Bring large pan of water to boil

In a medium sized pan, pour in all the flour, add the milk slowly whilst whisking in, don't let it get lumpy. Keep whisking over a minimum flame.

After about 7-10 minutes, you'll notice the sauce start to thicken. Add 2 handfuls of grated cheese and continue to stir. When all the cheese has melted in, turn off the heat and crack in some pepper.

Add the pasta to the boiling water and boil until soft. Drain water and pour pasta back into empty pan.

Add the sauce to the pan and stir thoroughly. Add two handfuls of cheese while stirring.

Transfer to a large pyrex dish and cover with the rest of the grated cheese.

Put under high grill until cheese melts and starts to brown.

Allow to stand for two minutes to let the melted cheese start to set.

Serve.
