To answer my own question, "not between my iMac and my iPad"

Apparently it would work if I had bought the iMac after 2012. Something to do with the Bluetooth module installed. I had to check back when I bought the iMac and it was 2009. I don't know whether to be cheesed off or pleased. I would really find Airdrop useful but I have had 5 years completely trouble free and constant use from a desktop computer...........

Nah. They are over priced I'll give you that, but then they are miles better than the alternative. I used a windows laptop the other day and wanted to launch it through the window. Also the operating system (7 maybe) looked so bad it hurt.

The new os x is really, really smart. Not too keen on the helvetica that's been drafted in though, it's virtually unreadable in small sizes.

To be honest I haven't looked at the price of a windows laptop/pc for about 8 years haha
