Lunch in Liverpool

Going out for a boozy day around town tomorrow - The missus and I used to enjoy a nice meal and a bottle of wine in Mowgli, La Finca Eivissa etc but looking to be a bit more frugal with our boozing

Any cheap recommendations for a nice lunch around town on a saturday?

BTW i've already tried to book the Lisbon - They're absolutely rammed full down to the makers mark

Bakchich in Bold St is always a good bet, don’t sell booze, but their range of Lebanese teas and coffees are very good.

I think that Bold Street is your best bet.

Food-restaurant choices from around the globe, or a bowl of Scouse in Maggie Mays, if you are feeling parochial.

Baltic Street Food Market.

Big open food hall with loads of street food, beer & coffee stalls. Order on your phone to your table and you can mix and match from the different stalls.
Not super cheap, but will cost you less than a restaurant.

I used to work around the criminal courts in Liverpool.

Barristers ( many who went to public school) would always call it 'pudding'.
