I was surprised when Bale signed an extension, if Modric goes that will obviously be a huge loss for them. Van Der Vaart wasn't that great last season and doubts remain over if Adebayor will sign on permanently (think they should swerve him myself).

Their new manager will need time to bed in, and remains unproven in this league. They could well struggle.
