One of my favourite Everton players over the years - and I have been a fan since 1980. I was very disappointed we never really made him ours, but in terms of mentality he was the only post-1987 player who could compete with Tim Cahill. Like the Australian, he was a good player, not particularly gifted, but his mentality was world class.
