Lost revenues from cup tie?

If we only got 72k off the tele, I reckon we lost on what we'd have got if played sat at 3.

That 72k per team compensates for an 8,000 drop in attendance This is assuming everyone of those 8,000 people pays adult prices and that Everton have no costs putting the game on.

It's more like 10k/12k in reality

This is looking at it in very basic terms. If someone pays £30 to go to the game, Everton don't make £30 quid. They pay VAT, extra staffing costs, extra security. TV revenue isn't just the basic payment. There are also cumulative boosts to advertising from the number of times you are shown on television.

They also have a waiting list for season tickets and a much wider catchment for home games.

Commercially there's not much they aren't better at than us.
They netted more TV money than the champions last year-if they had not got knocked out of the F cup early it would have been even more!
It's a total enigma why they are chosen in mundane games look back and see how many times they kicked off last season, and they were not even in the champions league!
