Player Valuation: £500k
At the start of the season like any other i was full of optimism, we've not done bad really with two games left, we have an outside chance of Europe,at times i thought we would be doing well to get around 10th, the players like the fans are full of heart, and we got the grit to pull ourselves up by the bootstraps,But the injuries are taking there tole and we need some urgent investment,:unsure:there has to be a buyer out there somewhere who can take us to the next level,we bloody deserve it unlike the crap across the park, who seem to have them lining up.:@

Pre-season training really needs to be looked at I believe...we've been consistently starting seasons slowly. Also a lot (if any) of our business in the transfer window seems to be done towards the end, I don't think it gives much time for the team to gel.

I thought (and said) at the start of the season that 8th would be a good season, because our squad depth was worrying and we always start badly.

I was right ^^ In my eyes we've exceeded expectations, but we're only three good players away from the top six consistently.

We finished 8th last year...likely seventh this year...Most seasons 7th can get Europa league which is really where Everton need to be to attract and keep players who can take them to the next level. I think there is an argument to say that perhaps Everton have remained about the same quality for the past few seasons but rivals like Spurs and City have drastically improved their squads and even 'lesser' teams like Stoke, Bolton etc etc have improved their sides. The league has been a lot more competitive this season and I suppose that can only be good. Still think a couple of quality signings could take us forward if we get rid of the dead wood like Yak and Yobo etc. I look forward to no one reading this and who ever writes beneath me to go off on one about something else like I just have. Until a sizeable amount of money is spent, this is about the best this Everton team will muster. We can only stand still for so long while other teams around us invest and push on.

We certainly need money/investment to add some fresh faces and add a spark to the team (like Donovan last season and unarguably what Suarez has done to Liverpool).

However, the tactical ineptitude from Moyes & the sheer out of formness/lack of interest from certain players hurt us more than usual this year.

Par examplé:
I remember Arteta being so poo for ages before getting sent off at West Brom; for the next 3 games Rodwell and Fellaini had a stormer in CM (Chelsea, Man City and someone else).

As soon as Arteta's ban was over he came right back into that awful half holding/half arsed attacking CM role and stunk the place out, it was tanamount to what Gerrard has been like for the past 3 years, woeful.

Cahill coming straight back into the squad as of late has been similar, although he was certainly the catalyst for the Man City win, of that there is no doubt.

A great end to the season again without fellaini which surprises me and with what other teams have spent better than expected for me.
We have a top class manager and again he has got blood out of a stone ,i just wish for the day the fat mincer does one.

Pretty much this.
