Not worth a penny
Just a question, hope you can help me out with. Anybody on here have some information about the closing times of the London Underground? Reason I'm asking, is because i want to visit the Newcastle vs Everton match on the 22nd of February. I'm staying at a hotel close to London Victoria though and have to catch the train to Newcastle at London Kings Cross.

Probably arrive back in London at around 10.30 pm and don't want to be stucked at a train station. Can't seem to find any information regarding closing times on their official site. Or is it a 24 hours service that they're running? Once again, hope you can help me out.

10.30 they'll still be running no problem.

they keep running till about midnight.

but there are night buses - dead regular throughout, so you'll have no problem getting from a to b.

the only problem getting from a to b in London is during rush hour.

Thanks mate, reason I was asking is because I have to book my train tickets. A lot more expensive way of travelling in comparison to Holland though. Found out the cheapest return was 46GBP. Checked it half an hour ago and the price of the outward journey was already 18GBP up.:dodgy:

rule of thumb, if it gets above £80 always fly.

Not much difference in time (after all the hanging around in the airport, getting to the airport etc), but it serves the train companies right for taking the piss with the train fares.

Dont expect as pleasant a ride as on a dutch train.

It'll be grottier, more cramp and smellier than the well run trains in holland.

such is life.
