Loic Remy

Al Twitchy Head is adamant that there is no issue with Remy, he thinks something else has motivated the change. Borini staying maybe.

I rate Remy so i'm glad.

Anybody but 'arry and I'd believe them. I can imagine that slimy little get trying to flog a player he knows has a problem while pretending he's fine.

Not saying that's what's happening, as I'm purely speculating, but I wouldn't put it past him.

Was he the W. Ham manager who sold Bilic and Williamson to us? If I recall correctly, we didn't even have manager when we bought Bilic.

Seen reports that it wasn't the medical but something about insane wage demands.

would that make sense though? didn't arsenal say nah because of his 90k a week?

if this was the case for liverpool, why would they lie? it would shed the player in poor light if they revealed that he's turned down two CL teams now because they won't pay him enough when he's employed by a team who were in the championship last season.

failed medical makes people feel sorry for him.

also, doesn't add up if he's passed medicals at previous clubs, liverpool have shown not to be fussy with things. they emplpoyed a racist cannibal and are paying lallana 100k a week. i wouldn't be too surprised if it's because of borini. doubt it's they can't afford him, it's probably the fact they can't afford to pay so many people such high wages and yet sland were the only ones silly enough to be interested in borini.

Letting other teams know you can't afford to pay certain wages can make negotiations with other clubs difficult.

He hasn't failed a medical, imo. He went on WC duty with France, presumably having been given a meticulous fitness test. Rodgers and Liverpool haven't said it's medical related. Only their dutiful hacks have done so to get them out of a corner.

Either the Borini cash was required for the Remy deal and Borini isn't budging, or Liverpool have an upgrade in mind...or maybe they see Origi as one for this season rather than a purchase and immediate loan back to his current club.

It all points to a tactical withdrawl, with any of those reasons being highly plausible.

I reckon he's done his budget and the collapse of Borini's move has scuppered Remy.
