As I already did the poor security thread I just might add this one to tonights offering.
I have a bunch of picks and locks to try with as well as some safe locks. I find it fun to pick these but haven't touched the stuff for couple of years. Anyone else tried lockpicking? I find it great fun to open a lock. I'm a bit weird though so I might be alone with this.

Used to try this all the time in school but just ended up ruining hundreds of paper clips. And they can ALWAYS do it in the movies

Never tried it, but the tool kits look fascinating... Is it hard to learn...

It's pretty easy with crap locks (except the real crap chinese ones because they are so poorly manufactured that it's actually adds to their security). I can't open the finnish locks though as the system differs from the more popular tumbler and wafer locks.

I never really understood the purpose of the tension wrench.......

So that as you push the pins down the lower one doesn't pop back up, which is why there is also resistance when you push the tumblers/pins, which goes as the 1st pin reaches the break line.

Smartarse.........

You are probably better at it than me mate, i did basic stuff but never really have to do it as if a key is lost then the lock needs replacing anyway so no point wasting time picking it.
