Joking apart that soot is awful but great for the garden 4% nitrogen if used as a mulch away from the plants i.e. not flung over them very toxic stuff TBH .... yet gas boiler give out just 20 % less toxic fumes at a lower level .....
Got a sweep coming at the end of the month - was hoping @COYBL25 may go up there as a favour TBH lol
Soon clear his lungs out in lockdown with his early morning run .......

Demarcation prohibits it Joey, sweeping the chimney is one of the jobs that the wife does.

Sorry.

I've often stated if my house was a ship it would sail off down the road it's been hard this year to get a chimney sweep because of lockdown........so my son had a go - never again...... lol
We never realised bends in Chimneys the brush got stuck just about retrieved it ..... :)
Do the same as this fella Joey, giant poppy as a brush, kill 2 birds with one stone, surprised your mega dyson doesnt have a chimney attatchment

Ive always climbed up on the roof and gone downwards with the brush and attachable poles. Always worked a treat. This year Mrs Hawtrey thinks I'm too old so buys online a flailing thing that attaches to the drill from below..... total disaster! covered in soot and got stuck, broke off the flue cap. ended up on the roof fixing the cap anyway.
