Experiences?

I was contacted today about a job based in Bradford. I'm not particularly adverse to relocating if the move is right but have zero experience of the area so any info and views welcomed.

Cheers lids.

You won't know where anything is, all the signposts are primarily Arabic, and I **** you not. I drove through the city not so long ago to get to Harrogate, and I was well confused.

It's not sharia law Luton Nik, don't worry about me.

Have you ever been to Bradford Frank ?

Bradford has experienced significant levels of immigration throughout the 19th and 20th centurys. In the 1840s Bradford's population was significantly increased by migrants from Ireland,[SUP][9][/SUP] particularly rural Mayo and Sligo, and by 1851 about 10% of the population were born in Ireland, the largest proportion in Yorkshire. Around the same time there was also an influx of German Jewish migrants to the town.[SUP][10][/SUP] In the 1950s there was large scale immigration from Pakistan and to a lesser extent from Poland. Bradford has the second highest proportion of Muslimsin England and Wales outside London. An estimated 101,967 people of South Asian origin reside in the city,[SUP][11][/SUP] representing around 20.5% of the city's population, with this figure projected to rise to 28% by 2011.

Met some great people from Bradford myself like, but I do believe it has it's problems, and thus will no doubt have the same sort of EDL and BNP shiz goin' on.

Just bear in mind before though that it's Yorkshire, where folk say what they like.

and they don't half like what they say.
