Have you seen that melt Alonso saying about the RSs winning mentality being good enough to win them the league. Idiot! Does he not realise that every head of the Richard variety has said this each season before him. If this mentality is so good why are they already 6 points behind the leaders and in 5th place? This shouldn't bother me after 37 years and I am sorry to waste your time with it. I was wondering if anyone can recount any other beauts down the years that have spouted such "wisdom". There must be some to give us a laugh!
 


Like it or not they do have a winning mentality, often they havent had the players good enough or out of form yet they still pull it out the bag when they need to.

Moyes has introduced a never say die mentality to us, hence the number of wins in extra time.

Never underestimate the use of psychology in football.

in what way do the have a winning mentality? theres nobody left at the club from when they were good, forget Istanbul that was a freak result, they havent won the league in 17 years, they are also rans

Don,t you mean spain under 21,s with a few tossers thrown in like carragher,they are still living on the past

Because they've finished above us in the league virtually ever year. Their regulars in the champions league, and have won a couple of cups over the last couple of years. Thats why.

I dont like them or their fickle fans anymore than any other blue, but i'm not [Poor language removed] stupid either. Throughout the '90's we had no belief, often we didnt have a terrible team but we almost always had no real belief we could do well and it showed in our just missing relegation over and over.

Moyes has changed that now and that too shows.
 

I dont see that finishing above some of the worst Everton teams in history means that they have a winning mentality, I think what they are is spoilt children who live in the past and expect to win the league despite being vastly inferior to utd, arsenal and chelsea

I did say they won a few trophies too? How can that not be a winning mentality?

Clearly your hatred for them clouds any logical judgement you have over their team so its not like we're gonna see eye to eye on this one.
 
Clearly anybody who disagree's with you is wrong,

but again winning a few knock out cometitions after the outlay they have had hardly makes a winning mentality, throw in a couple of championships and i'd agree

I do hate them, but can also look at them dispassionately, when I was in school they were the best in europe, no debate, but since Dalgliesh left I'd say again forget Istanbul, they are also rans
