Dont let your guard down now. You nearly let it slip there. Id say you are grinding your teeth reading this thread. How are your fellow ********s feeling about signing Adam? He,s decent, but as pointed out, yous are signing a lot of MEH, players. Not exactly gonna get yis challenging, more like keeping yis just inside the top 6 at a push.

Behave, mate. Come on, i know i'm a bit of a cynic and a pain in the arse at times, and if you don't agree fair enough, but its getting old now. I don't particularly care if you maintain this anti-cookachoo stance but its blatantly because i don't think Rodwell and Fellaini are worth £60m each, Everton will deffo finish in the top 6 and Moyes is the best manager since Sacchi !.

Truth be told, a number of other more respected members of GOT voice more negative opinions than i, but they do it in a less risque, under the radar, unnoticeable kind of way, its not like i'm going out of my way to talk about Liverpool and do Everton down.

This seems like a good time to ask what Cookachoos's avatar is all about.

It gives me the creeps for some reason.

My avatar is one of 'The Scousers' from Harry Enfield and Chums. Just to be absolutely clear, i do not have a shocking barnet and muzzy combo, its just always value for a giggle !

Adam looks 35, not 25.

Got a case of the Yakubu's.

Best post i've ever seen ! New Frankie Lampard ! 'YFB'

Goal.com had a good analysis of the RS signings today:

Charlie Adam joins Liverpool's legion of weirdos

Ignoring, for the time being, Liverpool's ridiculous stockpiling of international centre midfielders as if they're the scarcest of commodities in planet football, it would appear that Kenny Dalglish is embarking on a policy of assembling a team to really frighten opponents… with their physical weirdness.

Not content with having Uncle Fester in goal, there's Martin Skrtel sporting a Travis Bickle haircut and a biker attitude in defence, while Glen Johnson with dreadlocks is a mean Predator and Paul Konchesky looks – and plays – like a corpse. (The less said about Jamie Carragher's shrieking the better.)

Then there's quite possibly the most hideous midfield in world football, with Dirk Kuyt shuffling down the flank like Sloth from 'The Goonies', Raul Meireles inked from head to toe like a goth, the forehead-less Steven Gerrard running all over the pitch, Alberto 'Vampire' Aquilani, Jonjo Shelvey flashing his junk to anyone that passes by, Luis Suarez chewing his way down the left flank with his humungous teeth, Jay Spearing scurrying about with his shrunken head, and there's Christian Poulsen, who might not be all that physically unappealing but his football is absolutely disgusting.

Now Dalglish has added to his legion of the weird with Charlie Adam, a man whose teeth could double up as a bottle opener, which will come in handy for Andy Carroll, who has returned from his holidays with a hobo beard and a beer belly.

If you've got a season ticket at Anfield, I'd advise never taking a child along with you as they're likely to have nightmares for the rest of their days having seen such a motley bunch of downright ugliness up close and personal.

Haha i tend to agree, if Football was a beauty contest they'd be somewhere near the bottom !

Adam is a good player two ways of looking at this.

1) He's better than Meirelles (IMO) hes younger , on less wages and will contribute more to the team. He takes a superb set piece and with Carroll in the side he could be very useful he will also chip in with a few goals.

2) The big fish small pond argument , He only ever plays in a three man midfield , will he be allowed to spray those hollywood passes around were 2 in 5 end up either in the stand or giving away possesion.

I think hes a good addition and will do well.
