Liverpool Pubs - 'Substantial Meal' suggestions

Going out to finish the Christmas Shopping tomorrow and having a nice lunch out - I was hoping to find somewhere for a light meal later on in the day (not a belly buster) and a couple of drinks

Is anybody aware of city centre pubs that are offering a lighter meal and are still open?

The Lisbon does a good roast with plenty of stuffing apparently.

And the service is excellent, last time I was there the waiter even offered to push my stool in for me.

Went for some tapas on the docks in the day at lunya, then to petit in berry street where you get a cheese board and can sit there for as long as you want with it.

Loads of the so called wet pubs in town are serving Toasties. A wide variety of toasties are on offer to soak up yr beer

£15 for three small plates isn’t too bad.

The bill when we went to petit was eye watering though. Still haven’t braved my online banking since that.
