Picton High Street, controversially opened today. Pints £1.50, just been in to check it out. Quite decent.
I don't know whether this is good or bad.
Time will tell.
Cuffs isn't it?
If we're talking Wavertree, I prefer the Willow Bank.It is, still has their branding inside.
As I buy pint number four, I do wonder if I would be having four if I was paying £3 in the Brookhouse.

As for Cuffs, what beers are actually on offer for 150 pence?
They have a cask on? Fair play then.I live literally next door to the Willow Bank, between it and ASDA. I love it, spesh the £2 real ale of a Tuesday, however I struggle to convince my pre-20 friends to come in with me.
£1.50:
Fosters
Budweiser
Strongbow
John Smiths
1 changing cask ale
Several different bottles
£2:
Murphy's
£3:
Guinness

Can they turn a decent profit doing that?
Yikes, seems like a major gamble. Wouldn't be one for that myself, think you'll just end up with men getting rotten drunk and no frilly drinks or food being bought. Not on the beer. They're basically hedging their bets on getting a lot of people through the door and selling them other drinks or food.
