Just mentioned this to me arl fella.
He said we played a Derby on Grand National day once, early kick off, David Fairclough scored and that's were his super sub nickname started ? He was in the Anfield road end with me grandad.
Me also. If ever their was a day that depicted the myth of the mighty Kop, it was that day.
Not so much as a murmur from them throughout the game up until that point, then up popped the scarves.

Funnily enough, that was my first "away"derby, being a young kid my old man came up trumps andmanaged to get seats in their Main Stand,great spec on the half way line, my dad pointed out the "famous" kop but apparently it didn't impress the young Dario as I blurted out loudly that "this place isn't a patch on Goodison Dad is it?"Cue my old fellas face going the colour of their shirts as the assembled Reds heard every wordlol
