Live topic means posts are added with out you reloading the page. And it works automatically.

how do either of you two find time to come on here instead of 'other stuff', that may or may not have been on tap lately.

It's a great feature. As Dylan has said, it comes on automatically when a thread is being frequently replied to & if you start replying & someone else posts, it loads on your screen without you having to reload so you know straight away if something is posted that affects what you were going to say. Saves copying your post & then refreshing to see if someone has posted as I usually do
