Let's have it...the best gigs you've been to.

Saw Stereophonics on Parisast night. They were awesome. No frills. Just turn up and play. Kelly Jones has an incredible live voice.

Seen a few other great shows (U2, muse etc).

I was tempted to see liam Gallagher in paris but can't be dealing with d1ckheads who lob beer around

So, what great gigs do you remember?

Every gig I've been to is a great gig, even the crap ones I've always enjoyed. Signed bands, unsigned bands, stadiums, toilets, there's just always something memorable about each gig I've been too.

My favourite gig of all time was at Leaf on Bold Street though, no more than a 100 folk, most people lounging on chairs with drinks on tables, no strangers huddled together where us short arses don't get a good view. No more than 15 paces from a musical hero of mine and 15 paces from the bar, musical heaven!

Best was probably Kings of Leon back when they first released Sex on Fire. A very close second is Avenged Sevenfold.
Also seen Disturbed several times who are excellent every time.

Amon Tobin ISAM 2.0 tour @ London Forum 2012 is probably the standout gig for me, best audio/visual experience I've ever seen

Other gigs of note

Massive Attack @ Royal Albert Hall 1997
Radiohead @ Glasto 97
Squarepusher @ Glasto 98
Cinematic Orchestra @ Barbican 2007
Oasis @ London Astoria 94 (only because it was one of my first gigs, not because I particularly like oasis)
Tool @ Brixton Academy 2002
Deftones @ Glasto 98

It`s really easy to remember the great gigs, as they stay with you forever :

The Skids - Erics 1979.
Big Country - Larks in the Park 1983 Sefton Park ( Old Grey Whistle Test )
Echo and the Bunnymen - a Crystal Day St Georges Hall 1984
Echo and the Bunnymen - the Grafton 1984.
Big Country - Manchester Apollo 2000.
Big Audio Dynamite - Royal Court 1988
Sisters of Mercy - Royal Court 1986.
Too many AC/DC gigs to mention.
ZZ Top - Bingley Hall 1986.
The Darkness - Liverpool Uni 2000.
EMF - Royal Court 1992.
Placebo - Liverpool Uni 2003.
Depeche Mode - GMex 2003.

There`ll be many more, but I`ll have to think !

The Clash at Erics with the Specials supporting, White Man tour iirc
Killing Joke at the Warehouse 82, absolutely manic and intense performance,
Cocteau Twins at the Royal Court on the Heaven or Las Vegas tour
the Jam at Deeside, the infamous one, like something out the Wariors :)
Seen so many great gigs at Erics back in the day.
Spike Island was a great gig ruined by the Stone Roses, they were gash :)
