I was back home at the weekend, and depressed to see the state it is in.
What's going on? The council just letting it rot so they can declare in unsafe, tear it down, and put up more crappy housing units?

It was all ready to start a massive refurb, as a film studios, then there was a “ fire “ which gutted it.

There’s talk of it now becoming an hotel.

It’s still listed ( Art Deco ) so whatever they do with it, the outside has to remain the same.

However, a lot of listed buildings seem to go “ on fire “ and as you say, once they become dangerous, they can be pulled down and the site can then be used for other developmen.

That's encouraging that it's listed. It's such a landmark, I hope that it is properly restored one day.

Mad how many old buildings right next to new-build sites suddenly spring into flames in the middle of the night.
