Is it not just because Europe in general has traditionally had significantly more money and a better standard of living.
But the same is true of the far east and middle east and they attract loads of foreign footballers near the end of their career looking for one last pay cheque.
Not sure about the middle east, but I see your point. It's probably because their leagues are ****e so 1. they pay them ****loads to come because they're much better than the local players and 2. it's easy street for the players because everyone else is terrible. In Brazil they don't really need to pay more to get players in because the local players are good anyway, so the standard is comparatively high and the old foreigners coming in won't be miles better than everyone else.

It's just weird when you look at how teams even in uzbekistan, thailand and other leagues like that are full of players from all over the place and then you look in brazil and it's just all brazilians.
