I'm sure it's all been discussed on here thousands of times, the Wednesday night incident at the Ozzy bar and Thursday at the square.

My dad was actually "one" of the "two" lads who where hospitalised on the Wednesday after the attack.

Got punched numerous of times and hit with a chair 5 times, ended up with cuts and bruises across his face, body and arms and had to get 5 stitches above his eye which was deeply cut.
The main fella who attacked him has already been sentenced to 8 months, which the Echo reported on the other day.

Police actually told us they where Neo Nazi's the pricks.

Anyway....

Everyone was in contact with us on the Thursday either getting a report of what happened or checking to see if my dad was okay. Sky Sports, Sky News, Talksport, Local Media, Merseyside Police etc. Everyone apart from Everton.

Merseyside Police contacted Everton and made them aware of the incident, which later Everton reported on and said they would get in touch. 6 days have nearly passed and not a single word from Everton (tell a lie we've had emails about Lille at home being on general sale and the 3rd choice kit 20% off!).

It's not like 100's of fans where seriously injured that night, 2 people got hospitalised. It's not like they have to send a search party out to find him. You would of thought after the thousands of pounds we spend yearly on Everton, making the trip to Lille, the least they could of done was see if my Dad was okay.

I might be looking into it a bit too much but it's left a sour taste in my mouth and i'm disappointed Everton of all people have not been in contact.

Everton be all like:

I think when people like mums and dads and kids are involved we expect the world to stop, and when it doesn't we get pissed off. I know i do, i know from some minor peekings, i know Everton are doing a proper investigation and for what hes worth our great mayor is taking an interest in his counterpart in Lille, so as it may seem the club are sat on their arses waiting for something to happen it does look like there will be action taken.

That's true. I wasn't even that arsed about it until my mum (Who's a red) kept banging on how bad Everton have been throughout the incident.

Club are still investigating.

Also could jeapodise action with UEFA going public yet.

Best that we make sure doesn't happen again if poss.

Playing devils advocate here....

There's not a lot the club can actually do. I'm surprised they weren't in touch to see how your dad was, because they're usually boss at things like this and bend over backwards to help.

Beyond that though... One of the lads who did it has already been jailed. And they only launched the investigation form a few days ago. A lot of Blues who went by coach have only been back a few days & maybe not had a chance to get in touch with the club.

By the way, hope your dad is okay mate.

Just make sure the statement goes into the club about what happened like the club asked

I don't want Everton to go public with it, i just would of thought they would have contacted him to see how he was. As far as there concerned he's still in hospital in France. Merseyside Police and BBC Merseyside both phoned to check up on him.

Call me crazy if you want, but would you not be better contacting the club instead of whining about them on internet forums?

Just a thought like......

hope your dad is recovering well.

If UEFA got involved what would it mean for us a club?

Not a lot I guess, can't kicn us out or play behind closed doors cause it wasn't us that caused it.

PS: hope your dad is alright and managed to make the game and get home safe x

We have numerous times. Should we have too though? They're well aware of the incident.

Let the club know. Bear in mind theyre sifting through hundreds of statements thats been submitted.

If you left the fans centre know hes still in hospital or now back at home.

Then make sure that they get the info on what happened.

Theyre not mind readers.

Medical information is confidential.

Even if they ring the hospital the hospital can't tell anyone anything. That's under European data laws.
