10,000 missing is just hideous to read. The impact of the final figure perished will be hard to comprehend and the impact it have on those who love and need them.

These extreme weather instances are horrible to witness. Humanity is just so tiny and vulnerable in the midst of them.

Neglected infrastructure has played a big part including the effect of two collapsed dams.
That country has never recovered from the NATO British and French bombing. Just another case of American regime change procedures.
They were better off under gadhaffi.

Well a years worth of rain fell in a very short period of time, so there's that as well.

Seems like there's a new disaster everyday. This year we've seen hurricanes, earthquakes, mass fires and now these floods. All biblical in scale.

You try and do your best to make a life for yourself and your family and it can all be taken away in one night. Horrible.
It's awful isn't it.

Fires, floods, earthquakes even disease (covid) its all a bit "book of revelations" isn't it.

Yep, every now and then they post stats from the Arctic/Antarctica with comparisons from previous years. I saw one showing the extent of the summer Arctic Ice sheet, not good.
The planet and life is so delicately entwined and balance plays a starring role. Extreme weather and its impact can just wipe out cities of people and, sadly, those who in parts of the world with the least protection against it or resources to handle it.

Floods here last few weeks, several lives lost.

It'd be nice if people wake up to it but climate change isn't real and all that because it's funnier to mock a little girl and point at ice cubes in the freezer or whatever the hell.
