Bought a tv last year just before Christmas, smart LG tv, worked absolutely fine until about 6 weeks ago and the sound started to go out of sync when watching live tv, i know there is a bar in the settings you can adjust but it is still not perfect and after a few days it seems to get worse. I was reading that seemingly it is a problem with their tv's or smart tv, wondering if anybody has dealt with this issue before and how id they deal with the problem?

I bought one myself a few years ago. Got it ex display for half price.
When I got it home the volume control wouldn’t work.

But at that price, I couldn’t turn it down.

Was this the setting you tried?

Push the Home button on your remote. Select the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner. Select Sound > AV Sync Adjustment. Turn On AV Sync Adjustment, then use the left-right slider to delay or speed up the audio to match the video better.

I've got 2 x LG smart tv's I've only ever noticed this very occasionally on recorded programmes, we usually find fast forwarding and returning to the star point sorts it.
Hope you can find a solution as it must be annoying.

That's it mate and you can get it pretty tight but not perfect but after a few days seems to drift off again.

Stop flicking between games...if you're using a firestick.

Sure you've thought of it, but could be the connection between set-top box and tv. I've had an LG TV for ages, been good as gold.

Unfortunately the quality control of TVs and monitors is shocking these days. I appreciate this doesn’t help you now but I always get a minimum of a 3 year warranty on screens as they’re so temperamental. Richer Sounds do 6 year warranty and John Lewis 5 years for example.

The screen on my Panasonic TV recently started developing visual faults at around the 14 month mark. Richer Sounds replaced the entire screen and it’s great now, but it didn’t take long outside of the warranty.
