Lewisham ,London whats it like to live in?

Does anyone on here live there or know the area? My lads been looking at a flat there tonight and just trying to get some feedback on the area

I try not to go there unless I have no choice. Not the nicest area to frequent on any kind of regular basis. Dulwich is nicer for my tastes.

Not a nice part of london tbh. Certainly wouldn't be my first choice if i was going to relocate. And i avoid walking round there at night if i can.

Rough place. Not my choice of place to live for sure.

It depends where in Lewisham it is, but of all the boroughs in South East London it and Bexley are probably the ones with the fewest number of nice bits.

Thanks Brian ,Doesnt sound great does it . I dont think Ill be showing me misses that but Ill have a word with him tomorrow.Trouble is hes been looking all over and has to be out of his current place at the end of the week so he hasnt got time on his hands.

Read the thread mate, some interesting comments there. I don't know anything of London outside of Euston train station and a few places near Canary Wharf

Lewisham is a bit of a toilet tbh and not particularly nice after dark. However as with every city the worse the area the cheaper it is to live there. There's an area called Hither Green next to Lewisham which is kind of off the London map for some reason. It's claim to fame is it's hospital. There's a big population of Irish and West Indians that live there which make the pubs top boozers and generally an ok place to live as far as London goes.

He loves London and since leaving Uni thats where he needs to be, He has not long started a new job so if everything goes to plan eventually he will be able to get somewhere better.

Oh god mate don't do it. I live a few stops up on the DLR and it is an absolute hole. Like Kenny but grimmer.

People use it as a junction into Canary Wharf / the City from Kent but it is a total dive

No mate sorry. Lewisham high street is a bit like Speke Parade in 2007 though if that's any xomfort
