It's not too different to a goal going in after hitting a beach ball.
Its more similar than your original point of teams wanting games replayed due to mistakes if a game gets replayed due to faulty equipment which doesn't meet the regulations of the game.
If the ref had awarded a goal when the whole of the ball didn't cross the line i'd agree with you : it would suck for the team on the wrong end but its human error so the game shouldn't be replayed.
But when the goals have holes them it defeats the whole object of having nets and regulations that say they must be secure.
Leverkusen might as well put an extra player on start of next game if the German FA aren't gonna bother enforcing the rules and regualtions of the game.
And that beachball goal should have been disallowed, which makes it even funnier.
