L'esprit de l'escalier (wish I'd thought of that).

A thread for all those things that caught you off guard, then when thinking about it later you come up with the perfect response.
At the match on Sunday the lad behind me spent the entire game leaning forward and coughing so hard I could feel my hair move. As I walked down the stairs at full time I wished I'd turned round and said "I didn't know you could play rhythm catarrh".
Any others? Could turn into the new Me Arl Fella's Shouts on Bluekipper. Maybe.

Loving the direction the site is going.

Or should I say...

Great site lads

One evening while sat in my garage (this is where most of my creative thinking occurs), back in 1998, I came up with the idea of Home Security via the t'interweb, dropping webcams into houses and password protecting the site which broadcasts the live images to a 24x7x365 control room while also allowing the subscriber to login themselves to check on things.
Then Stephen Gaitley (yes I know!), went and did it first - around 2yrs after or a year after....I didn't have the capital to start it up.
Still kicking myself to this day!

Shortly after finishing uni in 2002, I created a website where people could keep in touch with their former classmates, submit photos, and provide status updates of where they were, what they were up to etc. I am pretty far from a web designer and lost interest in it rather quickly, but I had in essence the bones of what Facebook ended up becoming.

Friends reunited had already been around for while, which is what I'd taken my lead from, but the features on my site were more akin to Facebook. A tad miffed that I didn't have the vision to see the potential for it.

My problem in life is saying the things I probably shouldn't, I had to meet this support worker bloke that has something to do with my son through school, he's been trying to get hold of me and arrange a meeting for ages so I finally relented.

Anyway, the first thing he said when we met was "I was starting to think you didn't exist hahaha", and without really thinking I responded with "I'm starting to wish you didn't". It was an awkward meeting.

And welcome to why I've had a bad week. Me too mate.
