Lescott still a starter...

Player Valuation: £750k
Still surprised that Lescott gets starts for Citeh.

After all, they can buy any centre-back they want (everyone has a price) but they carry on with Lescott. Does that make him one of the best CBs in the world and does it also mean he was decent value for them after all?

Kompany at £6m represents infinitely better value. Lescott was at fault for the Kaboul goal today and at 29, i still feel he was a poor buy on City's behalf. I'm made up with the money we received for him, not overly happy with the way it was reinvested at this end but Lescott is a good player, yes.

He'll be a solid squad player at both club and international level for the next couple of years. But he's not one of the best in the world and just because he plays for one of the best in the world does not immediately make him one of the best. From what i've seen of him, expect Savic to force him out of the starting line up in the next couple of years, either that or Richards will be shifted back to centre half.

We didn't do bad out of the Lescott deal, all that money and Distin as a replacement who continues to do an excellent job.

It's just a pity that Moyes should have done much better with that money. Bily & Heitinga ffs.

Yeah Distin replaces him, but we defo wasted the rest, Johhny snide and poor Billy, poor, poor Billy.

Hes just not a Premiership player, its like hes even scared of the ball these days, poor lad.

Lescott and Jags were mint, the only reason I was gutted he left is 'cause i'd never see them in the Royal Blue keeping it sturdy at the back.

Other than that he's a bad mars bar headed beaut.
