Lescott dough!!!!

In a dream world I'd love anyone from Madrid i.e. Van Der Vaart, Sneijder, Huntelaar.......but they'll be off to the Milan's no diggity

Elm, Dos Santos, Senderos + either Fernandes or Bale on loan realistically

Although we seriously need to think about putting in the money for Defour or Moutinho which I have a bad feeling are now in the same list as those Madrid players that wouldn't be coming our way

How many loan signings can you have? Is it differnet if they are season long loans, or just 6 months?

my biggest problem with this is not just that we're selling an important player ( i love lescott to death but we'll make due without him, remember yobo has captained us before) its also who we're selling him to. everyone is pipping man city to dethrone the sky 4, an honor generally reserved for us and villa. i don't want to give our rivals the crucial ingredient they need to knock us one step down the totem pole. we can get by next season without new players, it won't be pretty but we can do it. for all of city's spending, their defense is still relatively vulnerable.

by selling them lescott, we're adapting our own plans last minute to conduct a deal that fits the team that is bound to be our greatest rival next year's plans perfectly. if we finish below city and villa, theres a good chance we won't even make europe next year which would be terrible for the club.

so i say, leave city to try to get through a season with toure and onuoha in the centre, because it doesn't matter how many goals they score if they can't keep them out. the money we'd get from lescott helps us, but is it worth the hit to our credibility? worth sending a message to all other clubs that when we say our players are not for sale, feel free to tap up because we won't fight to keep them? worth breaking the chemistry we have now by selling a player and fan favourite just for some money that would go mostly towards paying off our debts? i'm going to say no.
