Ossie was superb against Sporting. No i mean seriously superb. As good as Arteta is and as much as he is still finding his feet in returning from injury, Ossie was the boss man in midfield. Creative, check, fierce in the tackle, check, good positional sense, check.

The lad won everything in the middle, put his foot in and worked very hard for the cause. He got an amazing amount of stick early part of the season on here, people saying he was GASH and not good enough, well against Chelsea and Sporting he has proven he is more than capable of competing against the best and i think he deserves a lot more credit from some sections of blues fans.

He is a credit to our club, he really is. He is finally playing in centre-mid, not out-wide were he cannot perform. He is a well-able centre-mid and im tellin you sumfin, when people are fit, they will have have a job pushin Ossie out the side. Well in Ossie lad, you have done great recently! (y)

He is playing well at the min but he has been very streaky over the past season or so. I rate him, i think he hs great feet and can score goals, he has all the attributes to be a top player the only thing he does lack is pace! In the center that isn't as essential. I am sorry to say it but if fellaini, Arteta, pienaar are all fit along with him he wouldn't start for me. but he is a great squad player and the last 2 performances show that!

i think ossie gets a lot of stick from everton fans and it really is not deserved. He is usually a scapegoat for fans if things are going wrong. In that central midfield role he has been excellent and he always puts his shift in for the team.
Would have gave him or baines man of the match today

Agreed, and welcome

I make that 500 positive posters and 25,500 negative posters

come on the positives, we can beat the negatives! There's only so much bleach they can drink

Ozzie can be the best player in the league on his day, but the past has not always been fruitful for him out on that wing.

He's still a great asset to have when he's cooking.

I thought ossie was MOM last night. People keep calling him a squad player but I think we paid, in the region, of £10m for Billy who I can't see any benefit from yet and at best is a squad player. So how much is ossie worth?

vastly underrated by a lot if our support, they usually follow up by questioning moyes as well for playing him. he is one of the gears that keep our engine running, without him pienaar has a lot more running to do.

Excellent, but he's always played to a similar level in the middle of the park, I think people tend to forget or ignore his performances in there during the 07-08 season, alot of our good football came through him.

Exactly , he is a solid pro, not flashy and not the best...but every team requires this sort of player. Good to see him getting some recogntion.

He always does well in Europe.

He's a central midfielder and an effective one in a five man midfield. I'm not sure he has the presence required to be a central midfielder in a four man midfield, especially against better opposition. Good player to have in the squad, not a good player to be have starting week in, week out on the right flank which is why he receives a brunt of fans frustrations.
