Saying it was an absolutely disgraceful tweet.

I got a couple of responses to my responses saying it was just a joke.

Failing to grasp so was I.

I was thinking about responding to their responses to my responses. Then I realised. I've sold my soul to the twitter demons.

No it isn't just an allusion to Lineker's own journey. It could be argued that it leaves the reader to decide whether he means either "why would anyone leave Champions Leicester for Mid-table Everton?" Or - alternatively "well obviously Everton are a massive club with tremendous history" (therefore a rhetorical question) it depends how you want to read it.

As good as Steve was un earthing Kante and mahrez they have had one good season that's all. Walsh is unproven for me

People think it's literally just scouting when it's far more than that. I reckon this is 1 job were people in the game have far more of an understanding than the average fan. Everyone rates Walsh in the game and that alone tells me we've pulled off another coup here.

I doubt that is the only reason he has been brought in for. Besides not every player brought in has to be a world beater. this guy has helped build teams in the past and premier leauge winning teams at that. If thats not something to be excited by then I dont know what else you can want from a DOF.
