Hi all very much looking forward to playing you first game of the season, its been a long time believe me.

The last time we played you lost a very loyal supporter in Bernard Murphy who was hit by some flying debris,i don't know if you have been to King Power before but if you get the chance there is a memorial garden behind the East Stand with a plaque and bench in his honour...also i still think to this day Leicester City still send flowers to his family.

It just shows in football two sides can get together and give respect, good luck for next season.

Fair play lad. I was there that day and was none the wiser during the game . Coming back on the mini bus after the game with some of his mates and them getting the news was horrible .

Hi mate, thanks for your post, welcome to the site. Stick around we have a number of other club supporters who post here.

You must be looking forward to next season, where do you need to strengthen?

...think I remember going to Leicester 1st game once before. Filbert St in those days, the Foxes won courtesy of goals from Lineker and Bright, but we were decent that day. Might have it wrong that it was 1st game. Bright's was a proper curler into Southall's top corner.

I walked past by where that tragedy happened a few minutes later, there but for the grace of god,RIP Bernard, and I'll definitely take a look at the memorial if I'm lucky enough to get a ticket,Well done to LCFC for such a magnificent gesture,Thanks.

Think that was 85-86 and was actually Linekers debut for us mate, although I might be wrong!!they done us 3-1 I think, bit of "bother" with the locals at that game as I recall!!

Nice touch by the club mate. Had no idea they did if I am honest.

Like a few have said, we like having decent lads from other clubs on GOT, yes, even a few from across the park are regulars. Well one. @RED

One word of warning, one(sic) poster does our match previews, but he knows absolutely nothing about football, or anywhere outside L4 for that matter having never travelled in his life.

So it will probably refer to you as Leicester Utd, with Robbie Savage in midfield.

Stick around though. @chicoazul

A mate of mine actually plays regular for your under 21's so i'm excited to see i'll be looking out for your results.
