That its only crashed near the ground might be one reason to have some hope; it wouldnt have fallen that far and the pictures of it look semi intact but on its side. When the helicopter crashed near us (after hitting a crane) some years ago it was in bits afterwards.

Just seen a report that claims it is 'fake news'. The trouble with fake news is that you don't know if the claim that it is fake news is - fake news! Also, have been into a number of 'news' sites and it is not mentioned. If it was true you would expect it to be all over the net.
