Thanks for the advice. I've got an isolation note but they're still asking for my housemates test result. It's almost like they don't believe me!
Go seek actual legal advise.

As much as there are helpful stuff in here for you to takeaway. You need to talk to someone who actually specializes in this sort of thing.

Someobe who can answer all of your questions and maybe represent you.

Many moons ago one of my bosses was "let go" and if only he had seemed legal help he would have taken them to the cleaners.

Many don't they are told there is nothing they can do or don't waste time or the company is wrong but move on etc...

Trust me companies hate lawyers. If there is a hint of anything foul they legal aids and lawyers will pick up on it.

I've had to self isolate recently as my housemate testing positive. I've followed all the rules but now my employer is requesting a test result from my house mate. Something he is not going to give as it's a breach of the data protection seeing as he doesnt even work for the company.

Can anyone advise if this is normal practice?
Turn into work stand by as many people as possible, tell them you have been told to self isolate but you have no proof and the boss has over ruled government advice , let your boss know you will be giving everyone's name to track and trace that you have come into contact with .
Lad I worked with threatened to do this when his child got covid , the boss backtracked quicker than a tory mp.
