League Cup Final - Arsenal v's Birmingham

Obviously Arsenal are massive favourites (8/15 in some quarters) even with the injuries they have picked up of late, but unbelieveably this is Arsene Wenger's first chance of silverware in five barren years.

Brum haven't won anything since 1963 so there's little motivation needed there and possibly a chance to banish the memory of that narrow penalties defeat to the RS in 2001.

Personally I'm rooting for the gooners - due the fact a arsenal win will free up another Europa cup place for the chasing pack - of which we are now threatening to join (cue league form freefall)

Although an Arsenal win would be good for us if we get some good form going.
I will be shouting for Brum, simply because a good friend of mine is a Brum blue so it's for them really

7th is looking very possible now, as we've got a game in hand on the teams above us. Should we win that we'll only be 1 point off 7th, but 3+ off 6th and miles off 5th.

Arsenal winning only makes 6th a Euro spot as it still depends on who wins the FA cup as to whther the League gets an extra placing. Unless its changed but i dont think it has.

Still possible though, like the league has been all season, you go on a good run and pick up a few wins you shoot up the table. Hard part is us actually doing it.

6th is still pos though lad the teams above Newcastle,Sunderland,Bolton and the Sh1te arent in the best form themselfs, we just need to keep Saha and Becks fit

I know that mate, but what I'm saying is that if Arsenal lose then 7th is definitely not a euro place. And 6th is only possible if we really do get a big run going. 7th is only a point away if we win our game in hand -- which is still a big if, but nevertheless, it's quite possible.

Unless Birmingham go on a run till the end of the season and finish in the top 6.
