What I've always found funny with the league cup is, fans always [Poor language removed] it off "Mickey Mouse" cup etc, until they win it that is.

Most start to take it a little bit seriously at the semi final point but then dismiss it if they've lost (see the RS last season). I'd love us to really take it seriously right from the start this year, a trophy is a trophy.

Agree mate, we need to take it serious, at the end of the day, as you say, its a trophy.

It may be the lesser of the domestic trophies but it seems wrong that a club of our historic standing has never won the competition - hoping that can be rectified soon!

I've been thinking that every season for over twenty years now mate but we never take it seriously. God alone knows why, you'd think that we'd be desperate to win it just to end out trophy drought never mind win the only domestic trophy we've always missed out on but for some reason we've always dismissed it rather snobbishly. Hopefully this year will change that.
