Laurie Cunningham doc ITV

Good player but West Brom's previous winger Willie Johnstone was much better, Cunningham was at the arse end of British Football's ability to still produce good players.

The Liverpool template of busy teamwork based on solid defence won everything and players of Cunningham's type became a "luxury" hence "skilful footballers" now have to be bought from abroad and British Isle national sides are cack.

Check the footage of Cunningham and compare him to Beckham it's why arl arses like me roll our eyes when Becks and his ilk are classed as great.

But Cyril Regis was the main man - best centre forward I ever saw, had absolutely everything - power, skill, pace - but didn't play for a london club hence hardly a sniff for England.

Wish I could have seen him play.

That 78 side has everything and complimented each other well. I watched the video of our win at Man United regularly. The part where the commentator goes "oh what a goal" will be iconic in our history. I'm proud that we gave the opportunity to three black lads and set the trend.
