Allardyce Out
Didn't see that coming at all. Baffling decision, it was just six months ago that he was linked with big, big clubs.

Bloody hell. Have to admit he was top of my list too.

I read a rumour that if they did sack Laudrup then they'd be looking to get Graeme Jones. They can do one!

im not really sure what to think here. his club has been struggling something fierce this season but he did seem a bit loyal to them rebuffing advances in the summer saying Swansea was the club he was staying at.

Swansea: "Tonight parted company with Michael Laudrup. Garry Monk will take up the reigns as head coach.. for foreseeable future."

Interesting to see who they go for. Stay away from Jones, I don't know what he brings to the coaching staff but stay away. :@

Toughie.

Laudraup did a good job at Mallorca, Getafe. Failed at Spartak, and seemingly has flopped this year too, but won Swansea their first ever trophy. How much of that was down to Michu? Sad for the fella, seems like a nice guy!

i saw they re-shuffled their backroom staff earlier on. there's got to be more too this than a results based sacking you'd think.

Some more words from Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins on Michael Laudrup's departure: "I had a meeting with Michael today in a final attempt to support him and establish a way to improve the work of the backroom team to secure the results we need over the final 14 Premier League games.

"However, after thinking long and hard about the best way forward, I felt it was unlikely we would achieve a stable environment at the club to allow us to get back to basics and produce the performance levels that have served Swansea City so well over the last few years.

"Now we need to put that uncertainty behind us and move forward as a united football club on all fronts, while placing on record our gratitude to Michael for the work he has done over the last 18 months and wish him well for the future."
