when was the last time you felt we took the game to a team with intent and desire to win ad we completely out played the opposition. Genuinely can't recall any other time other than since we beat Arsenal at home 3-0 under Martinez. Even the 4-0 against city last season felt like false dawn.

The football served up this season is some of the worst we’ve had to endure in recent years.

It’s now clear that the likes of Kenny (although one for the future, perhaps), Jagielka, Keane, Baines, Martina, Gueye, Schneiderlin, Bolasie, McCarthy, Rooney, Lennon etc etc are simply not good enough if we have genuine ambitions of pushing the top six.

Hard to accept but that’s it. I really do hope this owner is willing to smash transfer records & wage structures in an effort to compete but that’s hard to believe given it looks like we had to offload Mirallas & Barkley to make room for Tosun.
