This is closer to what we could see potentially, but I can still see Pienaar playing instead of Naismith, but that has been discussed many times over.
 
We won't play 2 up front and nor should we it's not 1996!

Nothing wrong with the formation, it's the same formation that all the top teams play. Some players are not doing a good enough job or are simply not good enough to do it as well as the top players/teams do.

Mainly I'd say our wingers are not offering enough. For me McGeady should get some starts on the right, mirallas give a few in his favoured LW role and Barkley given the chance to put a few games together again.

No other options in CM where I'd say Barry's aging legs could do with a little rest. Would be good to get Gibson back a little earlier!

And basically just try and perfect the new system and style were trying to play.
 

Like to see one of Barry or McCarthy have a rest a move Barkley to centre mid . Pienaar needs to be dropped for kev on the left mcgeady on the right and I would like to see Naismith in the hole because he seems to have good link up play so could help lukaku get a few goals
 
Stones needs to play as much as possible to get him ready for bigger tests next year. I think the sooner he gets experience in his game, the sooner we will see his potential realised. There'll be some mistakes along the way but I think we're all ready for that.
 

Most of our team picks itself, we dont have enough players to change it round.

Personally i would play Deufleu if we are keeping him next season, if not then McGeady.

got no choice about barry or lukaku but would love to see Martinez if chasing a game taking barry off and replacing him with the other midfielder we have osman, and go 2 attacking mids.

I would also like to see Lunstrum Browning Kennedy Macaleny etc get a kick before the end. Not a major one, 3-0 up and 10 minutes to go type of kick.
 
anyone else thinking / hoping we see some of the returning loanees (lundstram etc.) given a run before the seasons out. could freshen the place up, plus benefit next season...... or too much to play for?
