At least we have one piece of good news now, get the contract sign and we could start looking to fill other position and get off to a better start next season.
 

His agent, Karsten Aabrink, added in Ekstra Bladet: “It is true that Everton would like to extend the contract, but no decision will be taken before the start of July.”

Doesn't mean he's definately staying
 
The Echo think he's likely to go to Burnley, who'd be able to offer him guaranteed first team football.

We can offer him the chance to earn 1st team football at a much higher level, if he has confidence in his ability there's no way he'll choose to go to Burnley instead of staying at us
 

I think if we sign up Jacobsen then we won't be going in for Naughton or any other right-back, which I think is a shame because the right-hand side of our team needs the most improvement if we're going to progress. We need a right-back and right-midfielder that can have the same impact as Pineaar and Baines's partnership.

Don't get me wrong, I do like Jacobsen and it'll be good if we sign him up because we need a big squad but having two average right-backs instead of one top quality one and a back-up means our first-team isn't going to improve.
 
I think it is still too early to comment Jacobsen being average, is not as though I am saying he is world class or anything, but I just think he has not reach a fitness level to show us what he is capable.

I still think if we have a good Right Winger we could the test out if Jacobsen is any good when it comes to supporting attack, you got to know Osman is not doing enough in attacking or support defence, in order to allow Jacobsen to come further forward.

I just feel everyone is making up there mind so soon on how good he is? Surely he deserve to have couple more game after he gets fit before we decide if he is just the same as Hibbert and being average.
 
Burnley. Fffffth.

Jacobsen will earn the RB job in short order unless Everton get another in the transfer window. Even if he splits time with Hibbert, better here than at Burnley.
