Windows 7 laptops are generally cheaper than 8 but I chose 8 here because it's newer.

What's a Chromebook and why are they seemingly cheap?

I think they're just extremely basic laptops, mainly for browsing. Don't know if they run Windows or anything. Strikes me as a tablet PC but with a keyboard.

I may be way off though.
