Lob it down the stairs and claim off your house inusrance. Job done.

the author of this post takes no responsibilty for legal rescourse as a direct result of his advice and is no way condoning illegal activity. Ma Lud.

qtips, distilled water (heated to near boiling) and a lot of time...and that's assuming you can get it apart without hassle. one of the worst things you could spill in it...nice one.
This. Coke is also awful.

Alcohol (ethyl alcohol I mean... or whiskey) instead of water also works, in fact it works better imo. Your laptop kinda smells of booze afterwards, but it works, and that's the main thing, right?

100% isopropyl alcohol is what you want (not the stuff mixed with water, it isn't as effective). It displaces water and because the boiling point is so low, any residual water moisture evaporates off with the alcohol. In the Navy we would dunk electronics into a IA bath and rescue them.

Alternatively, get a new keyboard and trackpad.....they typically aren't too hard to replace if you can follow a few simple instructions.

Disclaimer. Don't drink the alcohol.

your excess of say £250 would not be worth it! three claims in five years for any small amount then try and get reinsured!

You do this when the submarine springs a leak and orange juice starts pouring in?
