Can anyone enlighten me why Lampard was roundly booed yesterday when he came on?

Always been a favourite non everton player of mine, and dont know if anyone else saw but whilst he was warming up by family enclosure, he threw some of his training gear to a few kids in the crowd and then signed some autographs mid warm up for some young everton fans, then 5 minutes later gets booed, seems a class act to me, never seen any other opposition player treat everton fans so well who wasnt an ex player who left on good terms.

cant think of any controversial or negative thing in his career that would lead to that, apart from the fact he always scores against us but it is his job!

I've always had a lot of time for Lampard. I was made up for him when he slotted that goal past the ****e after his mum died.

Remember him saying Goodison is the hardest away ground to play at because you always get dogs abuse for no reason haha

He is brilliant, and seems a great bloke.

Had a laugh with a few near us in the fam enc.

The kid was 3 rows in-front of me, who got his trackies.

Good friendly banter, laughing smiling and clapping the fans.

Petr Cech got rightly booed for not clapping our end coming out for the second half after we clapped him.

We're used to clapping people who are utter tossers at Goodison though.

I like the fella. He's a sound guy by the looks of things and it was boss when he rang that BBC London programme which was ****ging him off to set the story straight.

As others have said he was probably booed because he always scores against us and maybe it was just to put him off.

Not sure why he's hated by Blues.

After a game at Goodison last season ( or the season before ) he came over to their support and clapped the Park End before he got to the Chelski fans, got booed by our lot, and shrugged his shoulders. He then went to the chair bound supporters down there, had a word with quite a few of them and signed some autographs.

Maybe he's a tit, but I think he's a decent bloke.
